July 2021

Dear Parents

After all the challenges of this year we have reached the end of term intact and are well underway with preparations for the new term in September at Nottingham Tutorial College. We intend to open for business as usual on Wednesday September 1st with normal lessons commencing immediately.

We will be getting in contact with all our 1:1 students at the end of the holidays to confirm arrangements for the new term. If you do not hear anything different before their first day back please phone or come to the main reception on Pelham Road.

At time of writing Covid19 restrictions are being relaxed, however in and out of school it is all our responsibility to still be aware and to take care. In school we are still recommending all students and visitors use the hand sanitiser or wash hands on entry to the building. Face masks are optional. Out of school if your child or anyone in the family home has symptoms or gets a positive lateral flow test the advice remains that you book a PCR test and notify school immediately. Please make sure your child has a lateral flow test the day before they come back to school. If the test is positive please keep them away from school until a negative PCR test has been done or 10 days have passed. Tests can be ordered for free here: https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests

The school day will continue to start at 9.30am for all students and lessons finish at 2.50pm, with some additional sessions running until 3.30.

I look forward to seeing you all happy and well in September and making the most of the opportunities here at Nottingham Tutorial College.

Yours faithfully

Andy Messent
