Your child is safe with us! – Nottingham Tutorial College has been awarded the highest rating possible, EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS, in our recent safeguarding and compliance inspection by the City of Nottingham. A lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes making everything run smoothly and successfully, so it’s great that this is being recognised as we strive to be the best!
HMRC visited last week to talk to our students about careers and interest them in work experience. They left glowing with praise for the behaviour and attentiveness shown by all our year elevens who took part. Last year, despite the restrictions due to Covid, one of our students was offered a chance to take up an apprenticeship with the organisation and we are expecting similar this year.
We’ve had some unusual visitors recently… A pair of beautiful Jays, normally found in dense woodland and fond of acorns and nuts, have been seen all week nipping down to steal food from our resident family of squirrels and bringing a bit of colour to the drab late autumn days and smiles to our faces. According to Google a Jay symbolises ‘the next great adventure, your life’s true passion, the truth that you seek, and your endless imagination’ so perhaps no surprise that they’ve chosen our seat of learning to make their home 😊
